The Last Supper

The Last Supper

Luke 22: 14-20

[14] When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. [15] And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. [16] For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”

[17] After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. [18] For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

[19] And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

[20] In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Let us take a moment to pause for a while and reflect about Christ’s love for all mankind.

Antonella Barba receives a cold shoulder from fellow contestants

March 2, 2007

I don’t normally watch reality shows but this year’s American Idol is quite controversial so I am quite drawn to it right now. That Antonella girl is quite pretty. She obviously doesn’t have the talent to be in the final 24 but the judges chose her anyway. And now that her sexy pictures have leaked on the internet, this poor girl must be experiencing a lot of awful things mentally and emotionally. It is amazing then to see her giving it her all despite all the issues that sorround her as of the moment.

She sang a pretty average song but still she was struggling all through it. But the worst didn’t happen during her performance. It was after the show, when all the girls are talking and giggling, and Antonella is left all alone on the side with nobody showing any interest in her. Her fellow contestants are obviously giving her a cold shoulder.

For her sake, I want her to booted out of the competition. If she remains, more and more negative things might come her way so she is better off out than endure the public’s criticism and her fellow contestant’s cold treatment.

The power of giving

February 16, 2007

Sheer acts of kindness always brighten up my day. Just seeing an old woman being helped by a younger man to cross the street is enough to make my day complete. Truly, giving a part of ourselff to others has this powerful impact on people’s lives be it the giver, the receiver, and the spectators.

The receiver – old woman – is certainly happy to see a young gentleman around to take her to the other side of the street. The giver – young man – is certainly pleased to have helped someone who badly needs it. The spectators – me and perhaps others – are inspired by that very simple act of kindness. That single act touched many a hearts in one blissful moment.

I am looking forward to see more of this every day, as I also try to play the part of a giver more often. Let’s give love everyone. Give it generously.

Let’s get positive

January 16, 2007

I have known a few people who never cease to amaze me with their amazing positivity. Whatever situation they are in, they always make it a point to make things a lot brighter and lighter. They make tasks less heavy and they always put a smile on my face. Amazing folks, aren’t they?

It’s because of them that I learned to take, I mean always take a different perspective when you are confronted with life’s awful tricks. When the norm says you have to get angry when you are pissed off, they deviate from that and instead take the road that is less traveled. They always think twice (or even many times) before they even consider something worth getting mad at. They take every challenge as opportunity and I can really see it being applied in their lives.

These folks are younger than I am by several years but I can say that I really learned a lot from them. They taught me life’s most important lessons just by being themselves and just by watching them grow day by day. They are such awesome treasures that I won’t trade for anything else in this world. Their sheer acts of grace and positive attitude engulf me with a feeling that exceeds that of happiness. Transcendent and divine. That’s all the words I can describe of it.

It has occured to me then that when all of us focus on the good things, worries and frustrations are kept at bay, and we will all be living life to the fullest, fullfilled, and happy. I know this is not easy to do considering that the world has created a new of breed of cynical and sarcastic races but I am still not losing hope that things will someday fall on the right places. And with that hope, I will do my part in spreading the positive attitude that I have also received from those precious people.

May this blogpost help us get to the right track.

Welcome Everyone!

January 13, 2007

Welcome to my humble blog, visitor.

So you might be asking what am I doing in here? Well, simple. I am just to rant post about stuff that interest me. I am not more of a ‘ranter’ but I will be such once in a while. However, I will strive to make my posts more on the positive note than otherwise.

I am hoping that you would enjoy reading my posts. Right now, there’s not much. I am still on my first entry. But as time goes by, I hope that I would be able to make an impact to someone else’s life in my own little ways.

Thank you for the time and I am glad that you paid me a visit.
